Playtest: prize payouts have not started. Shifts, scores and leaderboards are live, but the pots shown are practice numbers and nothing is paid out yet. You'll be told before that changes.
By tapping Agree, you agree to these documents, including binding individual arbitration and a class-action waiver. You can opt out of arbitration within 30 days (Terms §17).
DRAFT for review by licensed counsel. Not legal advice. Not for use until reviewed. Version [0.1] · Effective [DATE]
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and [COMPANY LEGAL NAME], a [STATE] [ENTITY TYPE] (“we”, “us”, “Sponsor”), covering the Paper Hands game, website, leaderboards and prize competitions (together, the “Game”). The Official Competition Rules and the Privacy Notice below form part of these Terms.
Please read Section 17. It requires you to resolve disputes with us through individual binding arbitration, not a court, and waives class actions and jury trials, unless you opt out within 30 days.
You accept these Terms by ticking the acceptance box and tapping Agree when you create an account or first play. If you do not agree, do not use the Game. We may update these Terms. If a change is material we will show it to you in the Game and ask you to accept it again before you continue to compete for prizes. Changes never apply retroactively to a competition that has already started.
2.1 Everyone may play the free practice mode where local law allows.
2.2 To compete for prizes you must: (a) be at least 18 years old and the age of majority where you live; (b) live in, and be physically located in, an Eligible Jurisdiction under the Official Competition Rules when you play; (c) not be a person or entity subject to sanctions, or located in, organised in, or ordinarily resident in a sanctioned country or region; (d) not be an employee, contractor, officer or director of the Sponsor, or a member of their immediate family or household; and (e) hold only one account.
2.3 You must not use a VPN, proxy or other tool to disguise your location or identity. Doing so makes you ineligible for prizes and may result in forfeiture and account termination.
3.1 The Game and all prize competitions are free to enter. No purchase, payment, deposit, wager, or holding of any token or other asset is required to play, to compete, or to win.
3.2 Buying, selling or holding the $HANDS token or any other asset does not increase your chances of winning, give you any priority, or entitle you to any prize.
Prize competitions are decided solely by skill. Every player in a competition period plays under identical, pre-set conditions that are published when the period opens. No prize is awarded by random draw, lottery, or chance. How competitions work is set out in the Official Competition Rules.
5.1 You are responsible for your account and for everything done through it. Keep your login and device secure.
5.2 To keep competitions fair and to comply with law, we may ask you to verify that you are a unique real person, your age, your location, and your identity, at any time, including before paying a prize. If you do not complete verification within the time we specify, you may forfeit the prize.
5.3 You must give accurate information and keep it up to date.
6.1 You must not: use bots, scripts, macros, automation, emulators, or any software or hardware that plays or assists play; modify, reverse engineer, or tamper with the Game or its network traffic; submit falsified results; operate or control more than one account; share an account; collude with other players; exploit bugs or errors; or interfere with the Game or other players.
6.2 We verify results, including by independently re-running submitted gameplay on our servers and by statistical and behavioural analysis. Results that fail verification are void.
6.3 If we reasonably believe you have broken this Section, we may void scores, withhold or forfeit prizes (including carried balances), suspend or terminate accounts, and take any other lawful action. Our reasonable determinations on fair play are final.
7.1 Prizes are paid in SOL, the native token of the Solana network, to the Solana wallet address registered to your account. Amounts shown in US dollars are estimates only. The SOL amount is fixed at the time stated in the Official Competition Rules and its dollar value may change afterwards. You bear that price risk.
7.2 You are solely responsible for the wallet address you provide. Blockchain transfers are final and cannot be reversed. We are not responsible for prizes sent to an address you provided in error, an address you do not control, or a wallet you lose access to.
7.3 We pay network fees for prize payments.
7.4 We may delay a payout while we review results, verify eligibility, or comply with law. We may withhold a prize where we reasonably suspect a breach of these Terms or where paying it would breach law.
7.5 Prize pools are funded at our discretion, can vary, can be zero, and may roll over as set out in the Official Competition Rules. We do not guarantee any particular prize amount, the continuation of any prize, or that the Game will continue to offer prizes.
7.6 Prizes are not transferable. We may substitute a prize of equal or greater value where required.
You are responsible for all taxes on prizes you receive. We will issue tax forms where required by law. We may require a Form W-9, Form W-8 or other tax documentation before paying a prize, and we may withhold tax where the law requires.
9.1 $HANDS is a meme token. It is separate from the Game and is not required to play or to win.
9.2 $HANDS is not an investment. It gives no ownership, equity, dividend, revenue share, profit share, interest, governance right, or claim on the Sponsor or its assets, revenue or prize pools. We make no promise or representation about its value, price, liquidity, or future, and we are not obliged to do anything to support it. It may lose all value.
9.3 Trading fees that we receive in connection with $HANDS are our revenue. We may choose to use some of that revenue to fund prizes, and may stop doing so at any time. Prizes are awarded to skilled players, never to token holders because they hold tokens.
9.4 Nothing in the Game or our communications is financial, investment, legal or tax advice. It is your responsibility to make sure buying, holding or selling any token is lawful where you are.
You understand that blockchain networks can be slow, congested, forked, or unavailable; that transactions are irreversible; that wallets can be lost or compromised; that network fees and token prices are volatile; and that laws governing digital assets are changing and may affect the Game, prizes, or your ability to receive them. We are not responsible for losses caused by any of these.
We screen wallet addresses and locations against sanctions lists and may block, freeze, or refuse any account, gameplay or payment to comply with sanctions, anti-money-laundering, or other laws. We may report activity to authorities where required.
We (and our licensors) own the Game, including its code, art, audio, names and logos. We give you a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the Game for your own entertainment under these Terms. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use and display your username, scores and gameplay in the Game, on leaderboards and in results. If you send us feedback we may use it without obligation to you.
Our Privacy Notice explains what we collect and why, including wallet addresses, device and location data used for eligibility and anti-fraud, gameplay inputs used to verify scores, and tax information where required.
THE GAME IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY THAT THE GAME WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW: (A) WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR LOSS OF DIGITAL ASSETS; AND (B) OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE GAME IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF US$100 OR THE PRIZE AMOUNT (IF ANY) THAT IS THE SUBJECT OF THE CLAIM. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THESE LIMITS, SO THEY MAY NOT ALL APPLY TO YOU.
To the extent allowed by law, you will defend, indemnify and hold harmless the Sponsor and its officers, directors, employees and agents from claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your violation of law, or your misuse of the Game.
17.1 Talk to us first. Before starting any claim, email [CONTACT EMAIL] with a description of the dispute. We both agree to try in good faith to resolve it within 60 days.
17.2 Binding individual arbitration. Any dispute that is not resolved will be decided by binding arbitration administered by [AAA under its Consumer Arbitration Rules / JAMS], not by a court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this Section.
17.3 No class actions. Claims may only be brought individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, or representative proceeding. You and we waive any right to a jury trial.
17.4 Mass filings. If 25 or more similar arbitration demands are filed by or with the help of the same law firm or organisation, they will be administered in batches as the arbitration provider directs, and the parties will engage in good-faith mediation before fees for the full set are payable.
17.5 Opt out. You may opt out of this Section within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing [CONTACT EMAIL] with your username and a clear statement that you opt out of arbitration.
17.6 If the class-action waiver is found unenforceable for a claim, that claim will proceed in court and not in arbitration.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [GOVERNING STATE], without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law where you live requires otherwise.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue the Game or any competition at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these Terms or where required by law. You may stop using the Game at any time. If we permanently discontinue prize competitions, we will pay outstanding carried balances owed to eligible players in good standing, subject to verification and applicable law, within [90] days.
We are not liable for failures or delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including blockchain network failures, outages, attacks, acts of government, or changes in law.
These Terms (with the Official Competition Rules and Privacy Notice) are the entire agreement between you and us about the Game. If any part is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. Contact: [CONTACT EMAIL], [MAILING ADDRESS].
NO PURCHASE, PAYMENT OR TOKEN IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE DOES NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES. THIS IS A GAME OF SKILL; NO PRIZE IS AWARDED BY CHANCE. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
[COMPANY LEGAL NAME], [MAILING ADDRESS], [CONTACT EMAIL].
Create a free account, accept the Terms, register a Solana wallet address to receive prizes, and play ranked rounds during an open competition period. There is no other method of entry and no entry fee.
See Terms Section 2. Eligible Jurisdictions: [TO BE CONFIRMED BY COUNSEL]. Prize play is not offered to residents of, or persons located in: [PROPOSED CONSERVATIVE DEFAULT: Arizona, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Louisiana, Montana, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee]; any country or region subject to comprehensive US sanctions; and any other jurisdiction where these competitions are prohibited or restricted. Residents of excluded jurisdictions may use free practice mode where permitted.
Each day (UTC) is divided into one, two, three or six equal competition periods (“Shifts”), starting at 00:00 UTC. The number of Shifts in a day is set at 00:00 UTC from the average daily prize funding (the share of creator fees allocated to prizes) over the previous 7 days: under US$400, one Shift; US$400 to under US$1,600, two; US$1,600 to under US$6,000, three; US$6,000 or more, six. The schedule for the day is shown in the Game. Each Shift is a separate competition. The official time is the Sponsor's server clock.
5.1 A ranked round lasts 60 seconds. Your score is the number of notes you land in the shredder. Ties are broken by longest streak within the round, then by earliest submission time.
5.2 You may play up to three ranked rounds per Shift. A ranked round counts as used when it starts. Your highest-scoring ranked round is your Shift score. Ending a round early is allowed; your score at that moment stands.
5.3 Practice rounds are unlimited, free, and never eligible for prizes.
6.1 At the start of each Shift the Sponsor publishes a seed. The seed fixes the wind and target positions for every ranked round in that Shift, in the same order, for every player. Wind is displayed before each throw.
6.1A Difficulty rises with a run count by the same published rule for every player. The run count starts at zero each round, goes up by one for each make and is halved (rounded down) by each miss. From a run count of twelve, wind strength increases and a gust that is not shown in advance may act on the note during its flight; both grow with each further step of the run count. The size and direction of each gust are also fixed by the seed.
6.2 Every ranked round is verified by re-running the submitted gameplay on the Sponsor’s servers. Only the server-verified score counts. Rounds that cannot be verified are void.
7.1 Funding. The Sponsor funds prize pools at its discretion from its own revenue, which may include trading fees received in connection with the $HANDS token. The Sponsor currently intends to allocate 80% of those fees to prize pools and retain 20% to operate the Game; it may change this allocation for future Shifts with notice in the Game. The pool shown during a Shift is an estimate until the Shift closes.
7.2 Minimum pool. A Shift pays out only if its pool is at least US$25 (measured in SOL at the close price, see 9.2). If it is below that amount at close, the whole pool rolls into the next Shift. No part of any pool is held back for a later jackpot or bonus.
7.3 Paid places. The number of paid places is 3% of ranked players in the Shift, rounded up, with a minimum of 3, and reduced if necessary so that the average prize per paid place is at least US$8 (never fewer than 1). Place n receives a share of the places' pool proportional to 1/n.
7.4 Par field. Par is the score of the player ranked at the one-third position (rounded down) when the Shift closes. If the pool is at least three times the number of ranked players, and 20% of the pool divided equally among all players whose Shift score is at or above Par is at least US$2 each, then 20% of the pool is split equally among those players and the remaining 80% is paid to the paid places. Otherwise 100% of the pool is paid to the paid places. A player may receive both a place prize and a par-field share.
Winners are determined when each Shift closes, after verification. Results may be reviewed for up to [24] hours before payment. The Sponsor’s decisions on scoring, eligibility and winners are final, subject to Terms Section 17.
9.1 Prizes are paid automatically in SOL to your registered wallet address after review, normally within [24] hours of the Shift closing. You do not need to claim them.
9.2 The SOL amount is calculated using the [PRICE SOURCE] SOL/USD price at the Shift close.
9.3 Minimum payment. Winnings below US$1 are carried forward and paid automatically once your carried total reaches US$1.
9.4 The Sponsor pays network fees. Payments are irreversible; see Terms Section 7.
Winners are responsible for taxes. Where the law requires (for US persons, currently when prizes from the Sponsor total US$2,000 or more in a calendar year, adjusted for inflation), the Sponsor will request tax information and issue the required forms. The Sponsor may withhold payment until requested tax information is provided, and may withhold tax where required.
There are no odds. Outcomes depend on skill. No prize is selected at random.
If fraud, technical failure, or any other cause beyond the Sponsor’s control corrupts a Shift, the Sponsor may void affected rounds or cancel the Shift. The pool of a cancelled Shift rolls into the next Shift. The Sponsor may change these Rules for future Shifts with notice in the Game.
Your username, score, rank and prize amount appear on public leaderboards and in the public payout log. We will not use your real name or likeness without your separate consent.
The public leaderboard and payout log, including on-chain transaction references, serve as the winners list.
We collect: your username; your registered wallet address; device, browser and approximate location (IP-based) data used to check eligibility, enforce one-account-per-person, and prevent fraud; the gameplay inputs from ranked rounds, used to verify scores; and, only where the law requires, identity and tax information. We use this data to run the Game, pay prizes, keep competitions fair, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information. Wallet addresses and payouts are public on the blockchain by nature. We keep data only as long as needed for these purposes and legal record-keeping. You may request access to or deletion of your data at [CONTACT EMAIL], subject to legal retention requirements. The Game is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Not running yet. This is how payouts will work once $HANDS is live and trading fees are funding the pots. During the playtest the pot is a practice number and no prizes are paid.
No luck, no random draws. Prizes come from $HANDS trading fees: 80% to players, 20% to run the game. Every payout is public.

The blinds are the wind gauge. How far they hang off vertical is the magnitude; the side they lean is the direction. The loose paper skittering across the carpet drifts the same way, so there are two independent reads before every throw — no dial required.
Depth comes from the room itself rather than a debug overlay: carpet tiles are 50cm, so the floor is a ruler. Rulers toggle back on if that isn't enough yet.
The console rolls between throws — a new distance and offset every time, so the swipe never settles into one memorised length. The spread widens as your streak climbs, which is what makes a long run hard without breaking the round into levels.
The swipe is a pointer now, not a speedometer. Stroke toward where you want the note to go — how fast you swipe no longer matters at all. Aim only is how Paper Toss played: the distance is handled for you and the skill is reading the wind. Aim + distance adds the length of your stroke (never its speed) as the distance control.
